Alfalfa Lane wasn’t born on a computer; it was born in our home. We are a design house built on heritage and heart. Inspired by the street where my family grew up together, our desire is to capture the beauty of home as it truly is - warm, welcoming and full of life. And our little house on Alfalfa Lane is where a lot of these ideas were tested first.  I wanted to create a home, not just have a house, and fill it with spaces that were actually lived in but also loved- using thoughtful details, sentimental pieces and purposeful but practical designs. Perfection was never the goal; but a feeling of belonging was.

When we moved into our home on (you guessed it) Alfalfa Lane, one of the first things I did was paint our front door blue. There was no rhyme or reason as to why I chose blue, but it has stayed some variation of that ever since. And it has been in and out of that same blue door that, over the years, so many memories have been made. My sincerest wish is that as our family grows and changes, anytime our children cross that threshold - they know they are home. But more importantly, they feel  like they are home.  And it is exactly there, where the heart of Alfalfa Lane lies. Rooted in the memories, in the inside jokes, and in the ever-increasing height markings on that "special wall". Rooted in YOUR story. Rooted in home. 🌿

Welcome to Alfalfa Lane.

Founded by Summer Johnson, Alfalfa Lane was born from a belief that home is more than a place; it's a feeling- it's where our stories are written. After years of turning our own house into a place that is both lived-in and loved, I felt called to help others create that same feeling. My goal is to have timeless designs, meaningful details and everyday living come together on an approachable budget.

Design Philosophy

Alfalfa Lane is not a 'let’s replace everything' service; it is built around transformation. I want to help you see your home with fresh eyes, create traditional spaces that support your real life, and build simple rhythms that make home feel peaceful, not perfect.

I will walk alongside you to shape your house into a place that feels like you and your family, not like a catalog. My belief is that the most beautiful homes are collected slowly, loved deeply, and rooted in the lives lived within their walls. 

Our brand inspiration isn't based on aesthetics- it's based on relationships. I don't want people to hire me because I can layer pillows. I want them to hire me because they want to feel differently when they walk through their front door. I want them to feel welcomed and comfortable. I want your home to feel imperfect, personal and beautifully you. My aim is to create areas that tell your story and support the legacy you're building, in whatever season of life that may be.
